3D Modular Constructs

In this assignment, the student is required to construct several 3D module using plywood. This module must be enclosed and must include creative though and careful thinking.

The first step to making these designs involves plywood, which would then be laser cut into shapes of our choosing. These shapes would then be sanded and glued with wood glue. After that, the glued modules are to be painted with Gesso and sanded again to ensure smoothness and percision. These modules are then documented In three separate environments.

The first environment is the interaction with people. I’ve decided to choose only one person and a tutor specifically to assist me. At first I was going to photograph a different student but I wanted to capture a different atmosphere from someone else.

The second illustration is from a fictional environment, so of course I tried to keep this as unrealistic as possible. Note: the lack of shadows were intentional.

The third depicts the modules in nature, which feels very abstract in terms of appeal.
