Color and Meaning
Using a dream, we were supposed to display our dream on paper and using one color to emphasize that one color from our dream.
Project 2 Sketches and Thumbnails
To begin our design process, we started off by drawing sketches of our designs which will include design aspects such as symmetry, asymmetry, rhythm, and repetition.

Sketchbook Assignment 2
Project 1: Photography & Drawing
The first portion of this project is focused around photography, capturing point, line, and shape within our photos.
Narrowing down our thirty photos to only six, we reference and muster them into designs that include shape, line, and point.

Then using our thumbnail designs, we were able to create a final composition in 18″x 24″ paper.
Sketchbook Exercise: Clothes
The following image contains a contour drawing of clothes that were sprawled out on the floor. I chose the unfolded clothes because of the complex folds.
Sketchbook Exercise: Dinner
The next sketch contains only lines and the subject matter has to do with food. I chose salad because of all the complex lines that the individual salad has.

With our interpretations, we are supposed to follow a recipe and follow directions closely.
Then, we are supposed to make our own recipe and create a design based on that recipe we made.
