Using the Gestalt Theory, our assignment was to incorporate a figure ground element that unifies two different concepts.

Stamp Collages
Using the stamps we’ve created, we are supposed to created a collage based on these stamps. Despite it being extremely messy and repulsive as well as lacking design elements, I believe that this design works moderately well and portrays a sort of erratic behavior.

This next collage is based on the gradation of color and how certain objects stand out in the exotic colors. I really had fun making this as well as how it turned out.

Biometric Animals
In this assignment, the focus was to display an endangered animal of our choice and conveying a sense of fluidity. In my design, my animal of choice was the endangered red fox. While I wanted the snow leopard to be the domineering factor of the design, I wanted the red panda to be overlooked or controlled by the predator. What worked really well was the sense of form shown by the two animals. What could’ve worked a lot better was the variation of different lines and contrast. Overall, the design feels flat, but there is a sense of movement shown within certain areas.

Stamp Assignment
This assignment focused on the emphasis of postage as well as how design can be incorporated within a postage stamp.

Because these files are so tiny, I’ve decided to display the file as a PDF so the viewer can take a closer look at the design.
Project: Illuminated Name (Updated)

Project: Illuminated Name
In this project, the student is supposed to create a design based on their name’s initials. The initial is meant to be surrounded by a design based on the Book of Kells and the Golden Ratio. Overall, I fell as if I’m learning more about watercolor than I already have. Even though I have little to no experience with watercolor, I still felt as if I learned a new way to use watercolor. Using shape, movement, and color is what I hope to capture the viewer throughout my design. I hope to get better at using watercolor in the future.
Color Still Life
Logo Design Project
Using a combination of a different assortment of items, our group was supposed to compose logos based on these combinations.

Color and Meaning
Using a dream, we were supposed to display our dream on paper and using one color to emphasize that one color from our dream.
