Photography Project 2: Color

Production 1- Personal Reflection
Consumerist Waste Project
In this design, the student is required to compose a design that features consumerist waste. This waste can be found anywhere, but must include a type of letter form. This letter form will be selected to create another letter or type of character. This includes creating letterforms that show serifs, sans-serif, and the ladder.
The finished product shown here:
In my design, the placement of different letters were intentional along with a sans serif trend to go along with the finished product. For instance, the small blue “A” in the bottom middle was used to mess around with the “N” in this photo. The text in the middle put together spells “Sweeti” and that was to attempt to create unprofessionalism and was happy to see how my text came out. Moreover, I was excited by how this came out in terms of craftsmanship, because I felt as if I lack with my own craftsmanship.
Name from Text/Objects
In this assignment, the student is required to photograph certain objects in order for their name to be spelt out. Not only is photography going to be a major part of the design, but editing is also a huge part of the overall turnout.

3D Modular Constructs
In this assignment, the student is required to construct several 3D module using plywood. This module must be enclosed and must include creative though and careful thinking.
The first step to making these designs involves plywood, which would then be laser cut into shapes of our choosing. These shapes would then be sanded and glued with wood glue. After that, the glued modules are to be painted with Gesso and sanded again to ensure smoothness and percision. These modules are then documented In three separate environments.
The first environment is the interaction with people. I’ve decided to choose only one person and a tutor specifically to assist me. At first I was going to photograph a different student but I wanted to capture a different atmosphere from someone else.

The second illustration is from a fictional environment, so of course I tried to keep this as unrealistic as possible. Note: the lack of shadows were intentional.

The third depicts the modules in nature, which feels very abstract in terms of appeal.
